Estonian Chamber of Real Estate Brokers is founded in 1997.
The main goals of the ESTONIAN CHAMBER OF REAL ESTATE BROKERS are:
- To guarantee the quality of the real estate broking service, to grant the right to work as real estate broker after the professional examination and to guarantee their professional skills and observance of good business traditions by the members of the Chamber.
- To represent the members of the Chamber and to protect their common interests and rights in front of administrative authorities and in the court of law.
The real estate broker intermediates for charge on the mandatory’s behalf transactions of purchase, sale, lease and rent of real estate and/or offers consultation on the matters connected to real estate.
Main tasks of a real estate broker are:
- finding customers, establishing their wishes, fixing the order (mandate), informing the customer of content of the service, conditions of brokerage, concluding the brokerage contract;
- collecting information about market conditions, registering, systematizing and entering into data base the purchase and sales offers, comparison in data base, complementing the data base;
- collecting thorough information about the object, timing and fiscal planning of the sales activities, choosing the target group and sales channels;
- explaining to the customers the market situation and the possibilities and conditions issued from it;
- consulting the customer concerning the possible price level and known qualities of the object which are influencing the price;
- compiling sales materials, informing target groups by mail, printed media, internet and otherwise; presenting the object, introducing sales/lease/rent conditions and other tasks connected to marketing;
- organizing negotiations and consulting the customers concerning the provisions of the contract, representing and consulting the customer during the negotiations and obtaining necessary documents;
- preparing to conclude real estate transactions and organizing the conclusion of notarized contracts. Organizing preparation and conclusion of other necessary contracts;
- tasks carried our after the contract is concluded and connected to vacation of the object, flow of funds, clearance of debts and liabilities of the object etc. ;
- reporting to customer about fulfilling the contractual obligations by the broker.
The Estonian Chamber of Real Estate Brokers is authorized to grant professional qualification to a real estate broker.
The professional title of a real estate broker who has successfully passed professional examination is Licensed Real Estate Broker. On January 1st , 2011, the professional title of a Licensed Real Estate Broker has being granted to ______ brokers.
